I've got that feeling...

You feel it? I LOVE this feeling. The feeling of love everywhere...the feeling that no one could make me unhappy today no matter what they tried to do. The feeling of peace, happiness, hope.

yeah....I am loving it. Off of work at 2pm today. Then it's off to pack, finish a gift for our niece, make a quick trip to Joann's for some Christmas decorations, and then it's off to St. George for a few days. Thanksgiving weekend, here. I. come. :)

New casa

We are now in our new home! We don't have everything moved from the apartment to the house yet, but we've got the essentials, so we're good for now until we find time this weekend maybe to move the couch/tv/and other big items in the kitchen.
We. Are. LOVING. the house! And we lose each other in it because it feels SO big in comparison to our apartment. At first I felt a little uneasy about the location, not knowing very much at all about the area of town, but after living there for a few days now I feel so safe it's ridiculous.
I took loads of pictures of the apartment before packing up, and of the house, but the camera is currently M.I.A. so when I find it in this move I'll post some "before and after" living quarters for Jamison and Amy Pruitt.
Funny story: Sunday we went to "our" ward for the first time, and finally when we could introduce ourselves as "The Pruitts" instead of people knowing me by my maiden name, Jamison goes ahead and says, "Well, I'm Jamison Pruitt, and this is my wife - Amy Ferne....ugh...err...Pruitt." nice jamison....nice....

We're loving it so far! Good thing too, because I was really really nervous that the transition would be a hard one for me, but we love it. It's really nice to start fresh with my hubby.

By the way - made dinner last night on our stove - i'm in Heaven. And so is Jamison because he finally gets nice warm and yummy food. Nothing better than homemade goodies.

Pictures to come shortly. As for now - I've got TONS more moving to do. Later!

The key

Today was the day to get the keys to the house, and as excited as I was, I could NOT wait until after work to get them, so on my way to work I stopped by and got the key, showed my mom around in the house briefly, and went to work with the longing to stay at the house and get things moved already.
Jamison stopped by during his lunch break, unable to get in, but also just longed to get in already....and make the house our home.
I'm just SO excited! And I can't wait to decorate the house for Christmas and the fall, and light yummy scented candles, and really make the place feel warm and cozy...which is where the fireplace will come in handy.
It's just such a cute house with a lot of charm, and we're excited to get in tonight and start this next chapter in our lives. The apartment was a much needed blessing, and served its purpose, and we're so grateful to have had it. And we're ready to move on....to a new home and new ward/stake. Exciting!!! I promise that pictures will come up soon. Of the apartment and the house. :)

YAY! I'm a happy girl. We are SO blessed.

Thanksgiving

SO SOOO excited about Thanksgiving this year, being our first year together/married. we will be going up to St. George Wednesday night after work and spend through Thursday night with Jamison's parents/family. And we plan to spend the rest of the weekend with my family here in Vegas.

It might sound weird but I feel like a grown up going to the "in-laws" for a family gathering. And I'm so stoked about what to bring, it's between these options:

1. homemade pumpkin roll (2 or 3)
2. 4 layer pumpkin cake
3. drinks IN a pumpkin (such a cute idea I wanna try sometime, easy and cute)
4. or just forget the pumpkin all together and just bring a couple homemade lasagnas.
5. OR homemade YUMMY sugar cookies like those from this website.

Decisions decisions. Still deciding...

Moving

Well, first of all, the whole "top ten tuesday" thing: SO out the window. I don't have anything near interesting enough to say every tuesday, and even I'm bored reading what I write. So yeah, done with that.
Jamison and I have been looking and looking into finding a house to rent or at least a better apartment space, and with much prayer and earnest seeking we've found a beautiful place that we're really excited about!

Sunday the 24th of October Jamison and I went to a fireside at the Lindell building and he found an ad on the bulletin about renting a house in the Las Vegas Stake Center area, so he called on it and got a call back immediately from the owner saying he'd be in town Monday and could show us the house. Well I had to work on Monday so Jamison went during his lunch break, and I just thought I'd leave the decision making up to him and trust his judgement, but he ended up picking me up early from work and going to take a look at the house together.
We LOVED it! I mean, all I needed to see was a stove/oven and I would be in HEAVEN, and it was really such a cute little place. . .AND it had a stove/oven! haha.
Well, we prayed about it, and thought about every little detail involving the move and if it was right for us at this time, and we made the decision by Tuesday morning and decided to go ahead and do it! So, we'll be getting the keys on the 16th of this month and will move in on the 20th.

WOW! Crazy! Seriously, a pattern I have noticed with Jamison and myself is that whenever something NEEDS to happen, everything just falls into place for us. In the period of 3 days we went from being in the Palmhurst ward, in our little apartment with no plans on moving anytime soon, to -boom- moving into a house; new ward; new neighborhood, etc. It's crazy, but we're SO excited! It feels like we're really beginning to start our new life together, in a new environment with people we don't know........it'll be SO different, SO new for us, SO scary!

But we're ready. I'm ready. I love my ward, my family, my friends, my current neighborhood and all I grew up knowing, but it's time for us to start anew, just the two of us. And I'm finally ready for that.

So here's to a new beginning! *let's hope I make it through*

I'll post pictures of the house soon......... :)

Mr. Sun

I know this guy, he's pretty formal and goes by Mr. Sun to most...I just call him sunny poo...cause we're that close. You know how people often tell you that's it's nice to get to know someone, but not to get to know them too well because problems in the relationship may occur???
I am witness to that statement. I know Mr. Sun too well, and I would really appreciate it if he'd dim up our relationship a bit, just until next summer of course. Don't get me wrong...I love Mr. Sunny poo....but I'm ready to become reacquainted with rain and breeze and the weather that fall and winter bring.
It can be really hard to break up a good relationship though...hmm....maybe I'll write him a letter...yeah, that'll smooth things over.

Dear Mr. Sun,
Thanks for the fun times. The bbq's. the swimming sessions and flipflop weather. the popsicles and watermelon. thanks for the good times. thanks for the laughs and family get togethers. It was fun, but now it's time to move on for a while; part ways. I hope you'll understand. I really do. Please don't take it personally, you've known for some time now that I feel this way around this time every year. And I hope to catch up with you once more next May. Until then I leave you.
Amy

......Seriously though....it's too hot. Please get cooler soon!!! I want to be in Utah sooo bad to see the leaves changing colors. Who wants to come?!? I'll buy you some licorice. :)
